We stock a selection of books, DVDs, newspapers and magazines.  We also provide free internet access (see below).

What Can I do?

Join a reading group:

  • Adult reading group: 4th Friday of the month 2pm to 3pm

 

Would you be interested in joining a crime reading group? If so, please get in touch with the library.

Talk to your councillor: Find out who your local councillor is and where and when they hold surgeries.

Use the internet with our public access computers or use our free wifi access!  We also hold regular computer taster sessions:

  • IT drop-in: Tuesday 2-4pm and Wednesdays 4.30pm to 6.30pm

  • IT Taster: Mondays 10.30am to 12pm & Friday 9.30am to 10.30am.  Places must be booked in advance.

Time Travel: Go back in Time by attending Local History Talks.

Research Family History: Our staff can help you to find resources to help you.  Did you know we provide FREE access to ancestry.com within the library?  We also have a regular Genealogy session that must be booked in advance:

  • Wednesdays: 11.30am to 12.00pm

  • Wednesdays: 2pm to 3pm

  • Discover your family tree: Drop-in every Friday 2pm to 4pm

 

Speak to Citizen's Advice Bureau: The library shares a desk with the CAB, on the 1st floor.

Why not join Rattle and Rhyme? The times are:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays term time: 11.15am to 11.45am

  • Friday's during term-time: 11.15am to 11.45am.

  • We also offer Saturday stories every week from 11am to 11.30am.
