Opening Hours (from 1st August 2016)

  • Monday: 9.30am-1pm / 2pm- 5pm

  • Tuesday: 9.30am-1pm /  2pm- 6pm

  • Wednesday: 9.30am - 1pm / 2.00 - 5.00pm

  • Thursday: 9.30am - 1pm / 2.00 - 5.00pm

  • Friday: 9.30am - 1pm / 2pm - 5pm

  • Saturday: 9.30am - 2pm 

  • Sunday: CLOSED

What's available?

We stock a selection of books, newspapers and magazines.  We also provide free internet access (see below).

Special Events: Our events page will keep you up to date with events and activities coming up.

What can I do?

 Join a reading group: Our Reading Groups are fun and friendly and are held:

  • Last Monday of the month: 2.30pm to 3.30pm

  • Second Tuesday of the month: 2.15 to 3.15pm

Use the internet with our public access computers.  We also offer free wifi access and can offer IT sessions.

Knit and natter group: Every Thursday 2pm to 4pm. Come along with your knitting or crocheting and help each other and share.

 Time Travel: Go back in time by attending one of our  Local History Talks

Talk to your councillor: Find out who your local councillor is and where and when they hold surgeries.

Why not join Rattle and Rhyme?. These are held weekly during term-time.

Please phone the Library before your visit to ensure there are spaces available.

  • Monday: 9.45am to 10.30am

  • Tuesday: 11am: Baby stay and play

  • Wednesday: 2.15pm to 3pm

  • Thursday: 2.15pm to 3pm

  • Chatterbooks: for 7-12 year olds. First Tuesday of the month 3.45pm to 4.45pm. 

Homework club: Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 3.30pm to 4.30pm
