Opening Hours

  • Monday:  9.30am - 7pm

  • Tuesday:  9am - 7pm

  • Wednesday:  9am - 7pm

  • Thursday:  9am - 7pm

  • Friday:  9am - 7pm

  • Saturday:  9am - 5pm

  • Sunday:  10am - 2pm

What can I do?

Join a reading group: Our fun and friendly reading groups are always eager for new people!

  • Every second Tuesday of the month: 5.30pm to 6.30pm

  • Every fourth Thursday of the month: 2pm to 3pm

  • Teenage Reading group: 1st Monday of the month from 3.45pm to 5pm

  • Saturday Reading group: Every four weeks 11am to 12pm

  • Wednesday Reading group: Every four weeks 2pm to 3pm

Use the Internet with our public access computers, and also find out about computer classes or via our free wifi hotspot.

  • Computer Taster sessions are held weekly and must be booked in advance. Contact the library in person or by phone.

  • Ancestry tasters are held every Friday but places must be booked in advance.

Time Travel: Go back in Time by attending Local History Talks 

For children and families

Why not join Rattle and Rhyme?  These are held weekly during term-term- please note there is a waiting list for all sessions:

  • Mondays: 11am
  • Tuesdays: 2pm
  • Wednesdays: 2pm
  • Thursdays:  9.30am and 11am

  • Fridays: 9:30am and 11am 

We also have story, song and rhyme for 3-5 year olds!

  • Every Friday: 9.30 to 10.15am


We also have:

  • Family Reading group: Sunday 10:30am every 4 weeks. Contact the library for the next date.
