Opening Hours (from 1st August 2016)

  • Monday: 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm

  • Tuesday: 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm

  • Wednesday: 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm

  • Thursday: 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm

  • Friday: 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm

  • Saturday: 10am to 2.30pm 

What's available?

We stock a selection of books, and provide newspapers and magazines.  We also provide free internet access (see below).

What can I do?  

Join a reading group: A great way to talk about books, discover new authors and make new friends:

  • 1st Thursday of the month: 2.30pm to 3.30pm

We also have:

  • Poetry Reading group: 1st Friday of the month: 10.30am to 11.30am

Use the internet with our public access computers, and also find out about computer classes.  We also have free wifi access! Computer tasters are free and are held:

  • Wednesdays 2pm to 3pm  - contact the library to check availability

For children and families

Why not join Rattle and Rhyme? These are held during term-time every week:

  • Monday &, Tuesday: 9.30am to 10am

  • Wednesday & Thursday 10am-10.30am.

We also have:

  • Craft Session drop-in: All day Saturday: 9-5pm (closed for lunch)
