Sustainability Appraisal for Brierley Hill

Dudley MBC are preparing an Area Action Plan for Brierley Hill. The Area Action Plan (AAP) has been subjected to a process known as ‘Sustainability Appraisal’ (SA), which is used to assess the social, environmental and economic effects of the proposals. It has been used to inform the decision making process by assessing the potential impacts of different options and each of the proposed policies. It also considers any mitigating measures that might be required. The SA complies with the requirements of the SEA Directive 2001/42/EC.

The ‘Sustainability Appraisal of the Brierley Hill Area Action Plan Publication Document’ has been produced to accompany the submitted AAP and is available to download below. Alternatively, paper copies can be viewed in all main Dudley libraries, at receptions in Council offices at 3 St. James’s Road, Dudley and Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge and at Dudley Council Plus. Copies can also be obtained from the Planning Policy Section at the address given below.

Sustainability Appraisal is an iterative process and has been done at each preparation stage of the Area Action Plan. These reports are available to download from the bottom of this page:
