Black Country Core Strategy

The Black Country Core Strategy is a planning and regeneration plan for the whole of the Black Country, which is signed up to by the four Black Country Councils (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton).

The existing Strategy was adopted in 2011 (available to download below) and is now being reviewed to meet the new challenges and opportunities for the coming years, up to 2036.

The review will plan for the area's future development needs and ensure the necessary services are in place to meet these local needs, along with making sure that the necessary level of investment is attracted to create jobs and wealth in the Black Country.

Between 3rd July and 8th September 2017 we consulted on an Issues and Options Report. Thank you to everyone who made comments; these are now being considered and will help to inform the future direction of the review of the Black Country Core Strategy.

Further information on the review and to make comments please go to the Black Country Core Strategy website.
