Unitary Development Plan

Following adoption of the Black Country Core Strategy on 3rd February 2011, some policies in Dudley’s Unitary Development Plan (UDP) have been superseded. For example the Housing, Employment and Minerals policies within the UDP have now completely been replaced by the Core Strategy.

The superseded UDP policies and the Core Strategy policies that are replacing them are contained within the document at the bottom of this page. Also to assist, a version of the UDP which contains the ‘saved’ policies can be viewed by downloading the document at the bottom of this page.

The saved policies will remain part of the Development Plan until replaced by Development Plan Documents and Area Action Plans.

Housing Site Deletions

The following designations have been deleted from the UDP Proposals Map on the adoption of the Black Country Core Strategy

  • Central employment zone boundary (Policy UR1)
     

  • Claughton primary development site (Policy UR2)

  • Industrial renewal areas (Policy UR5)

  • Arc of Opportunity (Policy UR-introduction)

  • Key industrial areas (Policy EE1)

  • Key industrial sites (Policy EE1)

  • Local employment areas (Policy EE2)

  • Local Employment Sites (Policy EE2)

  • Metro (Policy AM6)

  • Minerals (Policy M1)

UDP

Proposals Map Deletions

The following designations have been deleted from the UDP Proposals Map on the adoption of the Black Country Core Strategy:

  • 6 Wordsley Hospital, Wordsley

  • 34 Former Gas Works, Stourbridge

  • 35 Brierley Hill Crystal Works, Brierley Hill

  • 38 Furlong Lane, Cradley

  • 40 Northfield Road, Netherton
