Dudley Borough is made up of four main Town Centres, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Halesowen and Stourbridge. Each town centre has its own individual character and charm.

Town Centre Pedestrianised Areas

The only time vehicular access is permitted for pedestrianised areas is outside shopping times.

Applications to enter pedestrianised areas should be made to the appropriate Town Centre Managers, who co-ordinate events and activities in their towns.

Halesowen

At Halesowen, access is permitted between 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturdays and all day on Sundays. Applicants should contact Stuart Perry, Halesowen Town Centre Manager.

Dudley

Different hours operate in Dudley Market Place. Applicants should contact Andrea Jones, Dudley Town Centre Manager.

Please note that there are now no Saturday road closures in Dudley High Street.

Town Entertainment Squares

Dudley Council have a number of entertainment squares located within the town centres that can be booked by organisations and the general public.

The town squares are as follows:

  • Dudley Town Centre - Stone Square

  • Dudley Town Centre - Market Place Entertainment Area: Dudley ancient outdoor Market, situated in the centre of the town sells anything from prime fresh vegetables to a light bulb. Dudley Market is unique to the area in that it is open 6 days a week

  • Halesowen Town Centre - Somers Square: Located in the centre of Halesowen you will find Somers Square. Completed in 2003 the Civic square is used as a central point to host entertainment and events in the town.

  • Stourbridge Town Centre: Clock Tower Entertainment Area
