Car Parking

Public parking is available on Pool Road multi storey car park. Whilst this is a Pay and Display car park, parking is free for Blue Badge Holders. Parking for Blue Badge Holders is available with side transfer areas on multiple levels. Parking on level 1a allows level pedestrian access, within 50metres of the Hall (at first floor level).
The car park is also served by an accessible passenger lift (including low level tactile controls, voice and visual floor indication) and a staircase. The staircase is ‘easy going’ and has ‘suitable treads’ making it easier for people with an ambulant disability to use. Landings are available. A colour contrasting handrail is provided on the outer side of the stairs. The stair nosings also contrast in colour.
Some parties of disabled people prefer to access the Hall from the rear, via Pool Road, where parties may be dropped off and picked up. This must be arranged prior to your visit with the Operations Manager (telephone 01384 812814).

Directions By Road

Leave the M5 at junction 3 heading towards Kidderminster. Take third available exit off roundabout on to A456 (Manor Way), continue for 1.3 miles. Take fourth available exit off roundabout on to A459 (Grange Road), continue for 0.2 miles. Take third available left on to A459 (Queensway) where the road splits, continue for 0.1 miles. Take first available right on to Pool Road.

Access into the Building

From Hagley Street, level access is available to Cornbow Hall’s main entrance lobby.
(A staircase leads from the lobby to the main hall, located on the first floor. The staircase, which has 23 steps, is divided by 2 intermediate landings. The treads are ‘suitable’ for someone with an ambulant disability to use but the step height is ‘steep’. Colour contrasting handrails are available on both sides of the staircase. The stair nosings contrast in colour.)
A secondary access to the main hall, suitable for wheelchair users, is available via a passenger lift in the multi-storey car park, located to the rear of the main entrance. Exit the lift on Level 1.
(The passenger lift is suitable for 2 passengers i.e. a wheelchair user and carer. Low level tactile controls are provided. The lift has audible and visual floor announcement.)
Also for people using the multi-storey car park, parking on Level 1a, gives level pedestrian access to the secondary hall entrance.
