Local Safety Schemes

Each year Dudley Council implements local safety schemes. These schemes are aimed at reducing crashes at locations where a number of accidents have occurred. The council tries to establish patterns in crashes in order to resolve the problem.

Engineering measures are used to reduce the number of accidents. These measures include:

improving crossings
better signing and road markings
resurfacing the road
traffic calming
