Street Works Register

The Council receives a number of enquiries and questions every day regarding the public highway, often asking "who is digging up the road"? It is a common misconception that the Council is responsible for all excavations on the highway.

New Traffic Schemes

The Traffic Scheme consultation database is a way for you to find out what consultations concerning traffic schemes have happened, are happening or are about to happen in the Dudley Borough. Public Rights of Way

There are approximately 250 kilometres of Public Rights of Way in the Borough of Dudley, ranging from countryside walks to urban walkways.

Naming of new streets and numbering of properties

The Council is responsible for the naming and numbering of new streets, and the changing/reallocation of individual property addresses.

As statutory highway authority, the council is responsible for road markings and signage on the highway and investigates complaints of damage or deterioration.

A small team of construction engineers manage and supervise the current contracts for the Contracts Group of the Economic Regeneration Division.
