Vehicle Crossings for Disabled Residents

For a person who is disabled, a vehicle crossing can be installed without charge (subject to consents required for Council Houses and Classified Roads). It should be noted that there is a long waiting list for this service (currently approx 12 months - this is due to budgetary constraints). If a blue badge holder already has a dropped kerb and they want it extended or modified in any way, then there will be a cost for this.

 

Please note that when applying for the dropped kerb you will need to supply your blue badge number.
The blue badge free dropped kerb has a restricted budget, and it is intended to provide access for blue badge holders, the budget cannot meet the cost of any modifications or extensions.
