Drainage and Sewerage

 

The Council is able to offer advice on drainage issues as part of its Public Health Duty. Private Drainage including Cesspits and Septic Tanks are the responsibility of the owners or occupiers it serves. For tenanted properties this responsibility lies with the Landlord.  In the case of drainage problems for tenants in Council Houses, contact Dudley Borough Direct.

 

In the event that private drainage matters are not resolved, the Council will remedy the problem through use of its enforcement powers.
