Dudley Council’s Customer Access to Services (CATS) team will be holding a purr-fect CAT competition as part of National Customer Service Week.
The week which runs from 1 – 5 October 2007 gives organisations a chance to show customers how dedicated they are to providing excellent customer service.
During the week youngsters will be asked by the CATS team to draw their purr-fect pet to win a family pass to the Black Country Living Museum.
Drawings must be of a cat and make reference to the work carried out by the team.
All entries should be delivered to Dudley Council Plus by Thursday 4 October, they will be judged on Friday 5 October.
Adults won’t be left out, they can take part in a quiz to win tickets to a show at Dudley Concert Hall. It costs £1 to enter and all proceeds will be split between Jeans for Genes and Whitehouse Cancer Care.
The environmental management team will be on hand on Monday 1 October to offer advice on their services including street cleaning, maintaining parks and verges and waste and recycling collection.
St Thomas’s Community Network will also be available to give information on their courses and skills for life classes.
Councillor David Caunt, leader of the council, said:
“We are committed to providing excellent customer service to all our customers at all times. The ‘CATS’ competition is a great way of getting youngsters involved in National Customer Service Week and letting people know about the work carried out by our own CATS team.”
Customer Access to Services (CATS) aims to change and improve customer services, by providing a single point of contact for all council customers at Dudley Council Plus.
