14 - Beautiful landscapes at the cone

A talented landscape artist has started working from the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley.

Susan delaHaye, who paints countryside and industrial landscapes, is based at one of the studios at the popular Dudley Council visitor attraction.

Originally from Lichfield and a graduate in fine art, Susan brings with her an impressive catalogue of work, which takes inspiration from the world around her.

Her work will be on sale at the centre, along with work from other local artists who produce and exhibit at the cone.

Susan delaHaye said:

“It’s great painting landscapes at the cone where the industrial heritage of Stourbridge meets the countryside of Worcestershire.

“I’m really excited to be here and I’m looking forward to all the opportunities that are bound to come with being based at such an excellent attraction.”

Sarah Hall, visitor services manager at the Red House Glass Cone, said:

“Susan’s work is simply breathtaking and we are delighted to have her here working with us.”

The Red House Glass Cone is open seven days a week from 10am to 4pm and entry is free. For more information on the cone call 01384 812750 or visit www.dudley.gov.uk/redhousecone.
