Shoppers visiting Halesowen on Saturday 3 May can step back in time with medieval re-enactments taking place in the town centre.
The activities, which have been organised by Dudley Council, will take place at Somers Square from 10am to 3.30pm.
Medieval displays will include demonstrations of a medieval surgery, weapons, tile making and crafts and music, with re-enactors in full costume.
Alongside the historical activities, Abby and Teabags will face paint and balloon model while a medieval jester will provide fun and entertainment for all the family.
Dudley’s Queen of Culture Pat Wakelam will be there to welcome visitors and all re-enactments, displays, balloon modelling and face painting will be free of charge.
Pat Wakelam, Dudley’s Queen of culture, said:
“What an exciting event for Halesowen, I’m sure it will add even more colour and character to the town centre.”
“Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun and we are expecting a really good turn out from people across the community.”
