Students from Castle High School will be showcasing their work at Dudley Museum and Art Gallery throughout May.
The Dudley Council-led museum will launch the ‘Castle High Art’ exhibition on Saturday 26 April.
The collection from the school, which is a specialist visual arts college, includes submissions from talented school pupils and mature students. The gallery is predominately made up of paintings but also includes sculptures and textile hangings.
Castle High, which exhibits art at the museum every year, will also mark the event as a particular milestone as it is the last exhibition by its current head of art Mrs Dorothy Claxton, who will retire this summer.
Adrian Durkin, exhibitions officer at Dudley Museum, said:
“Castle High School is a regular contributor to the artistic life of the borough and I am delighted to see another year of brilliant work.
“I am sure people will come to Dudley Museum and Art Gallery to admire the students’ work which represents the next generation of artists within the borough”
The exhibition runs until Saturday 31 May and is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. For more information call 01384 815576.
