Residents in Dudley are being given the chance to take advantage of training opportunities available in the area, offered by Dudley Council and community partners.
The council’s community renewal officers, working hand in hand with the Open College of the Black Country, are holding an open day on Friday 18 April. The event, at Community House, 21 Duncan Edwards Close, Russells Hall from 9.30am until 6.00pm will give residents the opportunity to drop in to discuss any training needs they have.
The free courses on offer are: Access to tutoring, personal life plan, community champions, start your own business, new start – find a job, just to talk and a fresh start talking for fun and each will commence in early May.
Linda Sanders, director for adult, community and housing services, said:
“Training enables people to gain added confidence, as well as qualifications which can lead to better jobs and more security. These courses are tailored to particular needs within an area and are a great opportunity for those living in the St James’s Ward.”
