2 - Have your say on how housing services runs your area!

 

The council is currently in the process of recruiting tenant members for its five area housing panels (Brierley Hill, Dudley, Halesowen, North Dudley and Stourbridge) —an initiative designed to ensure customers have a say in the running of their service. 

 

Each of the 5 panels meets on a regular basis, usually every other month, to discuss local housing issues.  They are intended to ensure the council’s housing service is tailored to meet local needs. Panels provide significant opportunities to review priorities, policies and performance relating to housing management in their areas.

 

If tenants are interested in becoming a panel member, or would like more information, they should contact the participation development team to express their interest on 01384 815168.  Full details about eligibility are available at housing offices, or by ringing the above number.

 

Tenants should apply by no later than Friday 16^th May 2008.

‘Housing services knows the importance of involving customers in the development and running of our service, and this is why area panels were set up in 2002 as part of our improvement process. There are 5 area panels across the borough, and each panel comprises of tenants and councillors.  They are important in the running of our estates.  They ensure our customers have a say about their community and enables them to aid us in making decisions’
