25 - Tenants and residents groups meetings

A series of tenants and residents association meetings (TRAs) are being held across the Dudley Borough during the month of May.

Dudley Council believes in the importance of tenants and residents groups and actively supports and encourages their involvement with the running of their estates.

The groups discuss many issues relating to their estates, including energy efficiency, modernisation programmes and ideas of how to make improvements to enrich resident’s lives.

The following meetings are scheduled throughout May which are open to tenants and residents within the area:

Brierley Hill Area

o Hawbush TRA, general meeting, 15^th May, St Paul’s community centre, Hawbush Road at 7.00 pm

o Pensnett TRA, general meeting, 19^th May, Pensnett community centre, High Street, Pensnett at 7.00pm

o Parkes Street Area TRA, general meeting, 20^th May, The Saracens Head public house, Dudley Road, 7.00 pm

Dudley Area

o Hartshill Forum, forum meeting, 7^th May, Harts Hill Social Club, at 11.30am

o Vicarage Prospect TRA, 28^th May, annual general meeting, Congregational Church, Grange Road at 7.30pm

Halesowen

o Hill Bank Housing Forum, forum meeting, 8^th May, Lye Community Centre, Cross Walks Road, Lye at 6.30pm. A guest speaker will be attending from the local police

o Tanhouse TRA, general meeting, 22^nd May, Chaucer House Community Room, Severn Road, Tanhouse Estate, Halesowen at 7.00pm. Hugh Murphy, Waste Enforcement Manager for Dudley Council will be the guest speaker

Stourbridge

o Norton Green TRA, general meeting, 12^th May, Gigmill School, The Broadway, Stourbridge at 7.00pm. A guest speaker will be attending from the Citizens Advice Bureaux

The following area panel meetings are scheduled for during May. The general public may attend, but are unable to participate:

o North Dudley area panel, 14^th May, The Pensioners Club, Kents Street, Upper Gornal at 6.30pm

o Dudley area panel, 22^nd May, committee room 2, Council House, Priory Road at 7.00pm

o Brierley Hill area panel, 28^th May, St Mary’s Parish Centre, High Street, Brierley Hill at 6.30pm
