Families attending Dudley museums over the bank holiday weekend for the International Glass Festival will also get the chance to enjoy storytelling sessions.
Staff from borough libraries will be at Broadfield House Glass Museum in Kingswinford and the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley over the weekend.
On Sunday (Aug 24) library staff will be at Broadfield House Glass Museum’s By the Sea event from 10am to 4pm where they will be telling stories and encouraging visitors to join Dudley libraries and explore the joys of reading.
On Bank Holiday Monday (Aug 25) they will again be telling stories and promoting reading at the Red House Glass Cone from 10am to 1pm as part of their events to mark the National Year of Reading.
Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member responsible for libraries and archives, said:
“I’m sure there will be plenty of people going along to the International Glass Festival over the bank holiday weekend. I’m really pleased to see the library service is involved with the event and I’m sure families will make the most of the storytelling sessions at both venues.”
