Archived news release from 2008
Youngsters are set to scramble for the last two sessions on a climbing wall which has heightened the summer fun in Dudley .
The wall, which has been set up as part of Dudley Council’s Enjoy and Play scheme, has proven popular at a number of parks across the borough.
It will be stopping off at two more venues before the end of the school holidays - Grange Park and Buffery Park, Dudley.
Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for environment and culture, said:
“The wall has been a towering success with young people across the borough and we hope people will come along and have a go before the activity ends.”
Climbers aged eight to 14 are put through their paces to scale the towering structure, which is run by specially trained instructors.
The wall will be at Grange Park, Dudley, tomorrow (August 21) and Buffery Park, Dudley, on August 22. Sessions run from 11am-4pm.
Parents need to fill in a consent form at each venue to allow their child to take part and there is no need to book.
