Bin bag and recycling collections
Only December 26 (Boxing Day) bin bag and recycling collections will be affected over the 2011 Christmas and New Year period. Residents who would normally have their recycling and/or a bin bag collection on Monday 26 December will have their collection made on Saturday 24 December instead. All other weekday bank holidays collection days remains the same as usual.
Civic amenity site
The site will close at 4pm on December 24 and 31and will be closed on December 25 and 26 and
January 1.
Crystal Leisure Centre
Closed December 24 to 26 and January 1. It will close at 6pm from December 27 to 30 and on January 2. It
will close at 5pm on December 31. Please note the 25m pool is closed until January 3 and the leisure pool is closed until Monday 9 January.
Dell Stadium Closed December 19 to January 2.
Dudley Leisure Centre
Closed December 24 to 26 and January 1. The centre will close at 3pm on December 31.
Halesowen Leisure Centre
Closed December 24 to 26 and January 1. The centre will close at 8pm from December 27 to 30 and at 5pm on December 31.
Museums
Broadfield House Glass Museum, Dudley Museum and Art Gallery and the Red House Glass Cone will be closed from 24 December until Wednesday 4 January.
Register office
The register office will be closed December 24 to 28 and January 1 and 2. The office will open from 8.15am to 4pm on December 29, 8.45am to 4.30pm on December 30 and 8.45am till noon on December 31.
Libraries
All libraries are closed December 24 to 28 and January 1 and 2. All libraries will close at 4pm on December 31.
Children’s services and adult, community and housing services
Offices will be closed December 26 to 28 and January 2. They will be open December 29 and 30 from 9am to 5pm. To contact children’s or adult care services in an emergency when offices are closed, call the emergency
duty team on 0300 555 8574 and ask for the out of hours duty social worker. Housing has a dedicated call centre operating as normal from 8am to 8pm over Christmas on 0300 555 8283. This number should also be used for out of hours emergencies. Services including residential care and homecare will continue to operate during the holiday period.
Bereavement services
The cemeteries and crematoria grounds are open throughout the Christmas period from 9am until 4.30pm with the Book of Remembrance room open from 9am to 4pm. The offices will be closed December 26 to 28 and January 2. Payment of council tax, business rates or housing rent. While offices and Dudley Council Plus are closed payments can be made by debit or credit card by calling Callpay on 0300 555 7000.
