Archived news release from 2007

The Mayor of Dudley will be leading a special Christmas carol service later this month.

Mayor Councillor David Stanley will be at the Civic Carol Service at St James the Great, Lower Gornal.

It will include nine lessons and carols with Dudley Performing Arts and the VTime Choir.

Councillor David Stanley, Mayor of Dudley, said:

“We always have a good turn out to the carol service and we are hoping this year will be no exception.
“I hope to see as many people as possible to help me celebrate the festive season.”

The council’s official carol service takes place on December 20, from 7.30pm.
The deputy Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Ray Burston, will also be attending the civic ceremony.

There will also be coffee and mince pies available in the memorial hall, opposite the church, after the service.
