Dudley Council’s benefit service staff, who deal with claims for council tax and housing benefit, are celebrating another successful year after receiving yet more recognition for their excellent overall performance.
As part of its annual review of council performance, the Government has announced that for the sixth consecutive year Dudley’s Benefits Service has been awarded the maximum 4 out of 4 score. The assessment took place in the summer and was based on Dudley’s compliance and achievement against a range of nationally set targets and indicators.
Councillor Anne Millward, Dudley Council’s cabinet member for finance, said:
"I am absolutely delighted for everyone in benefit services who have worked hard to achieve this excellent score. It shows they have reached an excellent standard across all aspects of their work and is evidence of the high standard of service that is provided for borough residents. It has been a real team effort and I would like to thank all staff for their contributions.”
