Dudley town centre utility works

For approximately 18 months (starting April 2011), there will be a series of road closures in Dudley town centre to accommodate work by a number of utility companies (gas, electric, water and telecoms).

The council is working closely with these companies to ensure a co-ordinated approach to road closures, with the overall aim of condensing the period of disruption to all road users and pedestrians, as much as possible. Road resurfacing is also scheduled on selected streets following completion of utility works.

These web pages will offer updates of roads affected by closures at any given time.

2012 road closures

Below is a schedule of ongoing and upcoming roads affected by the utility works.  Each road will be closed at some point and diversion routes will be signed at the appropriate time.

Important note:  the roads listed will not all be closed at the same time.

Please be aware that all dates are subject to change.

Advance warning signs will be in place.
