Andy Timmins receiving his achievement award from Mozz Baker, senior tutor for construction at Dudley College
A Dudley Council trainee quantity surveyor has been rewarded with an achievement award from DudleyCollege.
Officers and colleagues at Dudley Council’s Leys Depot were celebrating this week, when Andy Timmins was presented with an HNC Construction division award for achievement, from the College.
The award recognises Andy’s attendance, positive approach and consistent high quality of work. The father of two, began studying construction at evening classes in 2006, while working full time in the energy industry.
Andy’s career path changed when he joined Dudley Council in April 2007. As a trainee quantity surveyor he is now able to attend college on day release as part of his job and is looking forward to graduating in June this year.
Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member for housing, said:
“Well done to Andrew and congratulations on this award. Dudley is pleased to be able to support training and development for employees and Andy’s hard work has certainly paid off.”
