1 - Curtain call for Dudley arts students

Young people from four Dudley schools will share the stage with top West End stars in April.
 
For just one night only, the Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton is hosting ‘Showtime!’ featuring hit songs from popular musicals.  On 6 April students will present their performance with six leading stars from shows in the West End.  Appearing will be Ramin Kairimloo currently starring as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera and Kerry Ellis, currently appearing in Wicked.
 
The cast includes performing arts students from Crestwood, Kingswinford, Summerhill and Wordsley schools which form the West Dudley Consortium. Tickets are available from the Grand Theatre box office on 01902 42 92 12 or the website www.grandtheatre.co.uk and tickets cost £8.50 and £12.50. General concessions: £2.00 off all ticket prices.
 
 
Councillor Liz Walker, cabinet member for children’s services said:
“The students have a unique opportunity to perform at one of the region’s top theatres with professional actors.  This is an excellent chance to learn from the experts.  I wish them every success for the 6 April and in their future arts careers”.
