Local residents can meet with council officers this week to find out more about Dudley Wood’s new Library Link.
During two drop in sessions, local people will have the opportunity to find out what the new Library Link in Dudley Wood will look like and how it will work.
There’s also the chance for local people to have their say on what books will be available and when the Library Link will be staffed.
The drop in sessions will take place at Dudley Wood Library on Saturday February 16 from 10am to 1pm and at Dudley Wood Neighbourhood Learning Centre on Friday 22 February from 2pm to 5pm.
The new Library Link will provide more than 1500 books, computer access, personal service from library staff and activities such as homework clubs, reading groups and other activities required by the community.
Councillor Michael Evans, the cabinet member responsible for libraries, said:
“This is a great opportunity for local people to be involved in developing and improving Dudley’s library service.
“As part of the library modernisation programme, Dudley Council hopes that Library Links will encourage more people to use the service.
“I hope local residents will come along and have a look at our proposals for the new Library Link and also have their say on the selection of books that will be available.”
The Library Link will be introduced this year as part of Dudley Council’s library modernisation programme. Dudley Wood Library Link will replace the existing library in the area.
