Carers who are keen to put pen to paper and share their thoughts and experiences are urged to attend a free workshop in March.
A free introduction to creative writing is available to current and recent carers who are keen to study autobiography or non fiction and work with learning materials.
Carers taking part can submit an assignment for written comment and are encouraged to work at their own pace.
The workshop will be held at Lye Community Centre on March 7 from 10am to 3pm. Carers must be aged 16 or above. Lunch is provided.
The workshop is one of many organised by Dudley Council to give people who care for a relative or friend with a disability or long term illness more training and education opportunities during 2008.
Councillor Peter Miller, cabinet member for adult and community services, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for borough carers to meet people and share their experiences while developing a new skill.”
The workshop has been organised by Dudley Council and will be delivered by the National Extension College thanks to lottery funding.
