8 - Half term fun at borough libraries

Dudley borough libraries are set to host a jam packed programme of stories and activities for children this February half term.

Many of the activities available during the week celebrate the Chinese New Year, which this year sees the return of the year of the rat.

On Tuesday February 12, Coseley Library will host a stories and Chinese craft session from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, Long Lane Library will host a Roman workshop from 10.30am to 11.30am and Sedgley Library will host a stories and Chinese craft session from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

On Wednesday (February 13) children can look forward to a masks, stories and crafts session at Dudley Library from 2pm to 3pm, a stories and Chinese craft session at Kingswinford Library from 10am to 12noon and a stories and ratty craft session at Brierley Hill Library from 2pm to 3pm.

There’s a dinosaur workshop at Halesowen Library on Thursday February 14 from 10.30am to 11.30am plus a stories and Chinese craft session at Netherton Library from 11am to 12noon.

The week’s activities will draw to a close on Friday (February 15) with an origami craft and computer based session at Gornal Library from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, a dinosaur workshop at Long Lane Library from 10.30am to 11.30am and musical mayhem at Wall Heath Library from 10.30am to 11.30am.

Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said:
“There’s lots going on in libraries during half term but be warned, places go quickly so reserve your place now.”

Booking is essential.  To reserve a place on any workshop contact the appropriate library.
