29 - Have a ball with the Mayor of Dudley

The Mayor of Dudley will be having a ball raising money for his charities at his annual big civic bash.

The Mayor’s Ball is a glitzy annual event where people are invited to a dinner and dance with the borough’s first citizen.

Hundreds of people are expected to book a place for the prestigious evening at the Copthorne Hotel in Brierley Hill on April 11.

The dinner suit and cocktail dress event will begin with a drinks reception, followed by a dinner and concluding with a dance with music provided by the Phoenix Band.

The annual event will raise money for the Mayor’s official charities – the RNLI and Dudley Alzheimer’s Society.

Councillor David Stanley, Mayor of Dudley, said:

“This will be a fantastic evening and I hope to see as many people as possible.

“It is a wonderful occasion where people can enjoy themselves with great food and music, while raising money for two very worthwhile charities.”

The event starts at 7.15pm and tickets are on sale now. They cost £30 and are available by calling 01384 815211 or emailing Christine.skelding@dudley.gov.uk . The closing date for tickets is March 26.
