Local residents are invited to one of two drop-in sessions this month to find out more about Woodside’s new Library Link.
During two drop in sessions, local people will have the opportunity to find out what the new Library Link in Woodside will look like and how it will work.
There’s also the chance for local people to have their say on what books will be available and when the Library Link will be staffed.
The drop in sessions will take place at Woodside Library on Wednesday February 20 from 2pm to 5pm and on Saturday February 23 from 10am to 1pm.
The new Library Link will provide more than 1500 books, computer access, personal service from library staff and activities such as homework clubs, reading groups and other activities required by the community.
Councillor Michael Evans, the cabinet member responsible for libraries, said:
“Key to making the Library Links a success is the support of local residents. Dudley Council wants to know what people want from their new service and would urge people to come along to one of the two drop-in sessions.
“Sessions are also being held at Dudley Wood Library for local people to find out more about the new Library Link in the Dudley Wood area. These sessions will be held on Saturday February 16 from 10am to 1pm and on Friday February 22 from 2pm to 5pm.”
Library Links will be introduced this year as part of Dudley Council’s library modernisation programme. Dudley Wood Library Link and Woodside Library Link will replace the existing library in each area.
