14 - Annual report

 
An annual report for Dudley’s adult social services has shown the number of compliments about the service far outweighed complaints during the last year.
 
During 2006/07 more than 230 compliments were received praising the service and its staff while in the same time 139 complaints were made.
 
In the last year Dudley Council delivered social care to nearly 13,000 adult service users.
 
The Dudley Council run service is keen to encourage service users to put forward complaints, comments and compliments and takes all comments seriously.  To make a comment about adult social care contact 01384 813067/ 813068

Every local authority with a responsibility for social care services must
provide an annual report into the workings of the social care complaints and
representations procedures as part of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990.

The annual report, which will go before the select committee for health and adult social care on January 17, provides information relating to the adult social care complaints, comments and compliments procedure, during the period 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007.
