31 - Free workshops for parents

 
Dudley Parent Partnership are holding free information workshops for parents with children who have special educational needs.
 
The workshops are informative and are delivered by specialists.  All sessions start at 10am and finish at 12noon to fit in with parents’ busy schedules and are held close to Dudley town centre at Trafalgar House in King Street.
Parents can book one or more of the workshops:
 

·        Wednesday 20 February

Find out more about disability discrimination and the duties placed on schools to make a reasonable adjustments for your child.
 
  • Wednesday 27 February
Understanding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
 
  • Wednesday 5 March
Preparing for your child with special educational needs and disabilities to leave school.  Understanding the importance of transition planning and the role of Connexions in supporting your child.
 
Workshops need to be pre-booked and places can be reserved by calling 01384 236677.  In addition, Dudley Parent Partnership will be holding a drop-in providing advice and support for parents with children who have special educational needs at Netherton Park children’s centre on Tuesday 19 February between 9.30 and 10.30am.
