The Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley is running a special intimateValentine’s Craft market for star-crossed lovers.
The two-day event on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 February runs from 11am to 4pm. Admission is free, with live glassmaking and craft studios on site. A children’s craft activity is available for £1 per child where youngsters can decorate a heart shaped box and fill it with chocolate.
The stalls all offer gifts with a special Valentines theme. These include novelty glass items, unique gift boxes, pebble art, watercolours, silk flower arrangements, hand-forged items, plaques and textiles for the home, jewellery, bags, scarves, leather purses, silk petite paintings, bangles and belts. There will also be distinctive glass gifts produced by the resident glass artists.
There’s also metal and semi-precious jewellery by Jane Dominese and glass and beaded jewellery by Donna Mathewson. The cone’s shop, Stuart Crystal Gift Centre and Crystal tea rooms will also be open.
Councillor Charles Fraser Macnamara, cabinet member for leisure and culture said:
“The cone’s craft markets are always popular. This is the first time they’ve hosted a special valentine’s event and I’m sure it will be a huge success.”
