30 - Have your say on budget

Dudley borough residents can have their say on budget and council tax proposals through an internet-based consultation.

Dudley Council is offering residents the chance to put their views forward on its proposals for 2009/10 via its website at www.dudley.gov.uk

Over the next few months, Dudley Council’s finance chiefs will be making important decisions on where to spend resources over the coming financial year.

To help with this process, the council wants to hear local people’s views on current proposals for spending on services and levels of council tax.

Councillor Anne Millward, cabinet member for finance, said:
“Many people filled out the internet questionnaire when we ran it over the last couple of years and I hope as many people as possible will take advantage of the opportunity again this time around.

“We want to know what people’s priorities are and where they want their money to be spent. We are always keen to have council tax payers’ views on spending and council tax, in advance of setting the next year’s budget.”

The consultation questionnaire can be accessed throughout August and into September via the council’s homepage at www.dudley.gov.uk.
