The Mayor of Dudley will give his civic seal of approval to a group of school children when he officially unveils their new garden.
Councillor Ray Burston is set to open the garden at the Sycamore Centre in Dudley, which has been put together by children and staff.
The students applied for a grant from the Dudley youth opportunities fund and were awarded £8,000 to create the area.
They planned the decked area, pond and plants themselves and the garden will now be used as part of their studies. Students will also be able to relax in the garden at break times and can also be used by the whole community.
Councillor Ray Burston, Mayor of Dudley, said:
“The pupils should be very proud of themselves in putting this fantastic garden together.
“I am really looking forward to seeing their work and meeting all the young people involved.”
Councillor Burston has been invited to open the garden on July 11.
