Summer activities are being held to provide opportunities and entertainment for young people from Lodge Farm Estate over the holiday period.
Dudley Council’s community renewal team are working with the Lodge Farm Network Association and Indulgence Entertainments over the school holidays to offer young people a range of activities.
The events are being held at Indulgence Night Club, Silver End, Brierley Hill and are for young people from Netherton’s Lodge Farm estate. The entertainment includes a DJ and dance & performing arts workshops.
The activities will provide young people with organised entertainment to keep them occupied over the summer holidays.
Councillor Peter Miller, cabinet member for community renewal said:
“Hopefully this initiative will give young people on the estate the chance to take part in activities they might not normally get involved in. This, in turn, may lead to other opportunities for them in the future. I think that this is a great example of what communities can do when they organise things for themselves. Lodge Farm residents have worked very hard to ensure this is a success.”
