A woman who allowed her dog to foul in a Dudley park has landed a court bill of £290.
Claire Stanley, 27, of Wrens Nest Road in Dudley, was spotted by a Dudley Council enforcement officer allowing her dog to foul in the park on February 28.
Stanley denied allowing her dog to foul and failed to pay the fine. She did not appear in court but sent in a guilty plea in writing.
She was fined £75 and ordered to pay a contribution towards costs of £200 and £15 victim support, making a total court bill of £290.
Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for the environment and culture, said:
“Our parks are there for all of us to enjoy but people using them to walk their dogs really do have a responsibility to clean up after their pets. I hope this latest court fine will act as a deterrent to other dog owners in the borough.”
