Cyclists of all ages and abilities are being encouraged to get on their bikes this weekend for a fun day out to mark National Bike Week.
An easy six-mile ride and family treasure hunt will be held on Saturday (21), setting off and finishing at the Bonded Warehouse in Stourbridge. The ride will start at 10.30am and the route will be filled with clues and questions along the way to create a hunt for the whole family.
The fun event has been organised by Dudley Council to fit in with this year’s Bike Week, which runs from June 14 to 22, and takes the theme of freedom for the family.
The first part of the route follows canal towpaths, the second part follows a shared use cycle path.
At the end of the route back at the Bonded Warehouse, the council’s cycle training and library teams, along with Sustrans, will be on hand to provide leaflets and information about cycling.
Riders are asked to wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Free light refreshments will be available.
