Thrills and spills are in store for the crowds at this year’s Festival of Water and Light which is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Thousands of people are expected to pack the Waterfront in Brierley Hill on October 5 this year for the annual festival.
The event is free to attend and will include the traditional colourful boat parade as well as live music, dance groups, a funfair and craft exhibitions.
The theme for the 10th anniversary is What a Wonderful World and promises a fun packed day out for all the family.
Organisers are appealing to local businesses to donate £1,000 in sponsorship to the event, and become a “festival angel”. Companies taking part will receive tickets to the VIP event reception and mentions from the main stage.
Radio station Heart FM will return as this year’s media partner following their huge success last year.
Councillor Malcolm Knowles, cabinet member for economic regeneration, said:
“This promises to be a spectacular event for people of all ages. We hope to see as many people as possible enjoying the entertainment and celebrating our wonderful waterways.”
The Dudley Council festival is organised by CCEM who are on the look out for craft stall holders to join in this year's event.
