More than 40 people attended a friendship event organised as part of refugee week.
The event, organised by Dudley Council on Thursday June 19 at Christ Church, High Street, Lye, was a great success.
Its aim was for the borough’s communities to get together and learn more about services offered by the council.
There were also information stands from many different organisations including West Midlands Police, Summit House, a support organisation for people living with HIV/AIDS, The Centre for Equality & Diversity and Butterfly Children’s Centre.
Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member for housing, said:
“Those who attended really enjoyed the day and we hope that it has encouraged them to get involved and have a say in how we deliver services in the future.”
