Cotwall End Valley is now prepared for a busy summer ahead after new improvements were completed at the site.
The work, which was finished last week, took place thanks to a grant awarded to The Friends of Cotwall End Valley. Nearly £20,000 of funding was given by Waste Recycling Environmental (WREN).
Resurfacing has been carried out across the site, steps have been repaired as well as a dam on Sugarwell Pool. A new footbridge has also been installed across the stream which runs through the area.
Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for environment and culture, said:
“Cotwall End Valley is a popular area with the local community and the improvements that have just been made will make the site even more accessible.
“The Friends group have done a great job in obtaining the grant and the council fully supports their efforts.”
Monthly walks and task days are organised by the Friends of Cotwall End Valley and they can be contacted on 07849 804242 or by visiting www.dudley.gov.uk
