A photo exhibition will open at Himley Hall in Dudley tomorrow, depicting happenings throughout the Black Country over the decades.
The new exhibition, includes photographs taken from the Express & Star ‘Pictures from the Past’ which are included in the newspaper’s letters page.
The exhibition will include more than 300 images from the paper’s photographic library.
Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for environment and culture, said:
“This exhibition follows months of ploughing through pictures and the result is absolutely fascinating. I’m sure the exhibition will provoke many memories for people across the Black Country and I hope as many people as possible will get along to Himley to see the pictures.”
The subjects of the exhibition range from football to Slade and royalty to industry.
Himley Hall and the exhibition is open from 2 to 5pm from Tuesdays through to Sundays and on Bank Holiday Monday. The exhibition will run until September 7.
