6 - Sheltered housing vacancies

More and more older people are discovering the benefits of sheltered housing and the independence and peace of mind it brings.

Dudley Council currently has vacancies in their sheltered housing schemes in Halesowen.  The self contained flats have their own kitchen, bathroom with toilet and basin and have communal bathing and showering facilities.

The staff are on hand 24 hours a day, there is a secure door entry system and communal gardens for tenants to use.

Councillor Peter Miller, cabinet member for adult social care, said
“Everyone wants to feel safe and secure in their own home, especially as they get older.   Our tenants live in a self-contained flat but have the benefit of communal facilities and the reassurance that help is on hand when needed.

“Our dedicated team of care professionals work with tenants to ensure appropriate care packages are tailored to the needs of the individual.”

If you are interested in finding more about sheltered housing, officers will be at the Cornbow Centre in Halesowen from 11am on Tuesday June 10 or you can call Dudley Council lettings on 01384 815965
