Customers to Dudley Council’s housing services will have access to a larger workforce and continued excellent service after E.ON took over as the authority’s gas supplier.
Dudley Council’s gas partner, CHN, will continue with business as normal following the buyout of their company in January by E.ON.
CHN have been the council’s gas partner for two years after winning the contract under strict tendering guidelines. The purchase by E.ON will provide the authority’s customers with access to a larger workforce, and continue good customer service as E.ON are experienced in dealing with local authorities and housing associations.
The only difference tenants will notice is that over the next couple of months there will be a change in the uniform of engineers and the logos on the vans.
All engineers and customer services officers will carry a two-sided identification card which will have a photograph of the person carrying the card on it together with both CHN and E.ON information. Any customers who would like to validate the authenticity of an engineer should telephone the repairs management centre on 01384 818283.
Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member for housing, said:
‘It will be very much business as usual when it comes to our tenants. They will still be visited by the same engineers and can log required repairs and servicing by using the usual telephone numbers. We believe that this will only improve the customer experience.’
