10 - Dudley schoolboys take to the stage

Boys from a number of Dudley borough schools will take to the stage to show off their dance skills tomorrow (11 March).

The Dudley Performing Arts Fracture project, which encourages more young males to participate in dance, will take place at Stourbridge Town Hall.  Over the past three months 500 youngsters have taken part in the project.  Professional male dancers Donald Edwards, Will Aitchinson, Michael Glasgow, Sam Malony, Junior Cunningham and Paul Myrie were invited to Dudley to encourage participation of more young male dancers.

Pupils from a number of borough schools have enjoyed the physically demanding and challenging workshops.  Schools involved are Windsor High School, Cradley Primary, Highgate Primary, Coseley School and Sports College, Lutley Primary, Oldswinford Hospital School, Kates Hill Primary, Hasbury Primary, Alder Coppice Primary and Thorns Community College.

The Fracture Boys will present their show tomorrow (11 March) at 1pm at Stourbridge Town Hall.  Tickets are available from Dudley Box Office on 01384 812812.

Dudley Performing Arts are planning to organise a unique all male dance company that will showcase work across the West Midlands at various venues and festivals.
