13 - Waste collections over Easter

Borough residents are reminded that recycling collections will not be affected by the Easter bank holidays.

Both green waste and black box collections will take place on Good Friday (March 21) and Easter Monday (March 24) as usual.

Meanwhile domestic waste collections will take place as normal on Good Friday but there will be no collections on Easter Monday. These domestic waste collections will be collected as a double collection the following Monday on March 31.

Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for the environment, said:

“We are pleased to say that collections will be affected very little over the Easter holidays. The recycling collections will be totally unaffected but the normal refuse collections will not take place on Easter Monday.”
