Shoppers in Brierley Hill can have a free check up at the town’s Health Awareness Day on Friday 9 May.
The Primary Care Trust and rotary club will be offering the health checks in the Moor Centre from 10am to 3pm as part of national Stroke Awareness Week.
Tests will include blood pressure, heart rate and body weight and representatives from the Stroke Awareness Group and Action Heart will be available to answer any questions.
Dudley’s Queen of Culture Pat Wakelam will be there to mark the occasion, alongside a local jazz band and face painting for children.
Pat Taylor, town centre manager for Brierley Hill, said:
“It is really great that Brierley Hill is facilitating this event, we want our shoppers to take advantage of the free health checks and advice.”
“With music and face painting also on offer in town that day I’m sure we will attract a big crowd.”
